Alberto Luque — Of Counsel

Alberto is Of Counsel at del Olmo Legal and has more than two decades of experience in corporate labor law, advising leading national and multinational companies in the design, execution, and legal shielding of complex labor strategies.

He has built his career in renowned law firms, including De Diego & Asociados, Adrogué, Marques, Zabala & Asociados, and as labor partner at GML & Asociados, where he led teams in restructuring, acquisition, and merger processes with direct impact on hundreds of employees and strategic union relations.

His background as Lawyer (UMSA) and Bachelor in Labor Relations (UBA) gives him a unique perspective that combines legal understanding with an organizational and systemic view of the world of work. This allows him to deliver solid legal solutions that are operationally viable and aligned with business objectives.

Representative experience

  • Comprehensive counsel to Johnson & Johnson (2023) in a mass layoff process, voluntary retirement agreements, and organizational restructuring in Argentina.
  • Transfer of 500+ employees in the M&A of a multinational pharmaceutical company (2021), including due diligence, contracts, and union communication.
  • Led high-impact labor audits in acquisition processes in the financial and technology sectors (2017–2020).
  • Negotiation and drafting of company-level collective agreements (e.g., Simmons de Argentina with SETIA, 2019), achieving flexible and sustainable labor conditions.
  • Representation of business chambers (AHT, Cámara Argentina de Contact Centers) in national collective bargaining for more than 15 years.
  • Design and implementation of executive compensation and benefits plans adapted to regulatory and compliance requirements (2016–2023).
  • Management of restructurings and labor outsourcing processes with high union exposure, achieving preventive agreements and legal protection (2015–2018).
  • Collective bargaining with unions such as Textiles, SETIA, Gráficos, Comercio, Viajantes de Comercio, among others, with favorable and sustainable results for companies.
